2018 Le Difese, Cabernet sauvignon, Tenuta San Guido, Tuscany, Italy

The marvelous estate of Tenuta San Guido stretches elegantly between the sea and the hills, in the splendid scenery of that enchanted place that is Castagneto Carducci that segment of Maremma made known also by the homonymous poet. Needless to say that Sassicaia is the real attraction of the company, a wine that is almost reductive to call such, but the cellar also shows off what in France they would call 'second vin', a secondary label but still worthy, Le Difese. Composed of 70% Cabernet and 30% Sangiovese, this wine stands out for its good structure and extreme softness, qualities that make it extremely pleasant and very drinkable.

Intense ruby red with purple nuances, the nose has hints of blackberries and aromatic herbs, enclosed in a frame of roasting tones. The taste is rich, juicy and balanced, with a long and very clean closure that leads back to balsamic.

It will make sparks with a classic mixed grilled meat.
